System Implementation & Migration

Fidra deliver systems implementation which is carried out by experienced technical individuals or teams to carry out the installation, configuration, testing and sign off of systems according to satisfactory specifications provided either by the customer or Fidra consultants.

System implementations can be deployed in any of the following three scenarios:

• On Premise – system software is installed and configured on hardware assets owned and operated by the customer.
• Hosted – system software is installed and configured at an agreed 3rd party hosting facility with access being provided to the customer as agreed in the specifications. This deployment scenario is now often referred to as ‘cloud computing’. A number of Fidra service offerings here are based on Microsoft’s Office 365.
• Hybrid – requirements may determine a hybrid solution architecture where some installation and configuration will be on premise and other aspects of the solution will be delivered through hosted services.

Delivery Method

Over the years, the Fidra team have refined and consolidated aspects of the Rational Unified Process, the Essential Unified Process and the Microsoft Solutions Framework with Agile methods and Prince 2. The nature of the project and the incumbent processes at any customer will guide the Fidra project/programme manager on the appropriate delivery methodology for the client.

Having said that, Fidra is able to provide guidance and education around the benefits of actual delivery by using Agile methods. All internal project or development activity at Fidra is governed by Agile methods.
